I have no idea what 2024 holds for me but I do know that I am talented, loved and protected.

We are the many that came from the two. We are the abolitionists, the freed slaves, the born free, the freedom fighters, the revolutionists. We are the dreams of Minerva and Charles. 

But how many battles do I have to win in order for the war to be over?

Here’s to all of the educators out there who possess the power of mothers, fathers, teachers, mentors, social workers and friends… I hope this will be the best year yet!

Peacocking occurs in every aspect of life for Black people. From the classroom to the White House, Black people must fluff our feathers constantly to avoid hate and violence.
